After-Hours Urgent Care in Denver: Where to Go When Your Doctor's Office Is Closed
Where to get care in metro Denver in the evening and on weekends: urgent care open until 11 PM every day, when to choose the ER, telehealth, and what it costs.

Most family doctors' offices close around 5 PM and aren't open on weekends. Fevers, sprained ankles and ear infections don't keep those hours. Here's where to get care in metro Denver in the evening, on weekends and on holidays, and how to tell which option fits what's going on.
Urgent care that's open until 11 PM
All four AfterOurs clinics are open until 11 PM every day of the year, including weekends and holidays:
- Denver Southeast (East Hampden Avenue): 8 AM to 11 PM daily
- Littleton (West Mineral Avenue): 8 AM to 11 PM daily
- Thornton (East 104th Avenue): 8 AM to 11 PM daily
- Denver Highlands (West 38th Avenue): 5 PM to 11 PM on weekdays, 8 AM to 11 PM on weekends
Many urgent care clinics in the area close by 8 PM on weekdays and earlier on weekends. After that, the emergency room is often the only place left, at emergency room prices. Staying open until 11 PM is the reason AfterOurs exists: we opened in 2005 to give metro Denver real medical care in the hours when doctors' offices are closed.
What after-hours urgent care can handle
Most things that feel like they can't wait until morning but aren't life-threatening are exactly what urgent care is for. That includes colds, flu and COVID-19, sore and strep throat, ear and sinus infections, UTIs, rashes, sprains and minor fractures, cuts that need stitches, minor burns, and vomiting or diarrhea that needs IV fluids. When to go to the ER instead
Call 911 or go to the ER if you have: chest pain or pressure; trouble breathing; signs of a stroke (face drooping, arm weakness, slurred speech); heavy bleeding that won't stop; a serious head injury or loss of consciousness; a severe allergic reaction with swelling of the face or throat; or sudden, severe pain. Don't wait for a clinic to open in an emergency.
When you can't get out of the house
A telehealth video visit with an AfterOurs clinician is available 8 AM to 11 PM every day and costs $75 self-pay. It works well for minor problems like colds, sinus infections, allergies, UTIs and rashes. If what you describe needs an in-person exam, the clinician will tell you and point you to the nearest clinic.
After 11 PM
Our clinics close at 11 PM. Overnight, if a problem can't safely wait until morning, go to an emergency room, and call 911 for anything life-threatening. If it can wait, a clinic visit or a telehealth visit from 8 AM usually costs far less than the ER.
What an after-hours visit costs
There's no extra charge for evenings, weekends or holidays. Self-pay in-clinic visits are $175, $250 with one moderate service like an X-ray, and never more than $330. We bill insurance, with contracts with all major commercial and government plans including Medicare and Colorado Medicaid; if your plan treats us as out of network or denies the claim, we reduce what you owe to the self-pay rate.
