If you drive for Uber, Lyft or another rideshare company in Colorado, you may be asked for a Transportation Network Company (TNC) medical certificate. AfterOurs does rideshare driver physicals at all four metro Denver clinics for a flat fee of $50, self-pay, and the provider completes the TNC form at the visit, so you leave with it in hand.

What is a rideshare (TNC) physical?

It is a short, focused exam that checks the health requirements Colorado sets for TNC drivers. The provider reviews your health history and examines you against those requirements, then fills in and signs the state TNC medical form. It is not a full check-up, and it does not replace care from your own doctor.

Your rideshare company tells you when you need a certificate and where to upload it. Requirements and renewal timing come from the state and the company, so check your driver app or the company's driver help pages if you're not sure what you need.

What to bring

  • The TNC medical form, if your rideshare company gave you one. Print it so the provider can sign it.
  • A photo ID, such as your driver's license.
  • Glasses or contact lenses if you wear them to drive.
  • A list of your medicines, including anything you take for blood pressure, diabetes, sleep, seizures or your heart.
  • Notes about any ongoing condition that might come up, such as a recent surgery, a heart problem or a change in your eyesight. Records from your own doctor help if the form asks about them.

Having this ready makes the visit quicker and means the form can be completed in one trip.

How long does it take?

The exam itself is short. How long you spend at the clinic depends mostly on how busy it is when you arrive. Booking online holds your place, and our clinics are open into the evening, so you can fit it in before or after a shift.

What if something comes up?

If the exam finds something that affects the requirements, such as high blood pressure or a vision problem, the provider will explain what was found and what the next step is, which may mean follow-up with your own doctor before the form can be completed.

Call 911 or go to the ER if you have chest pain or pressure, sudden weakness or numbness on one side, a drooping face or slurred speech, sudden loss of vision, or you faint or black out, especially behind the wheel. Pull over safely and don't drive yourself.

How much is a rideshare physical?

A rideshare (TNC) physical is a flat fee of $50, self-pay. The price is the same whether you walk in or book online. Treatment for any other problem at the same visit is a separate service. All our flat-fee prices are on the cost and insurance page.
