Common symptoms
- Cough lasting more than a week
- Mucus or phlegm
- Chest soreness from coughing
- Wheezing or mild shortness of breath
- Low-grade fever

Lung exam, oxygen level check, chest X-ray when pneumonia is a concern, breathing treatments for wheeze, and antibiotics only when a bacterial infection is likely.
