How we treat it at AfterOurs
A provider listens to your child's breathing and may suggest comfort measures and fluids. For more significant symptoms, a steroid medicine may be prescribed to reduce airway swelling, and a breathing treatment may be used. A chest X-ray may be needed if the cause is unclear.
When to come in
Come in the same day for a barking cough or fever that is not improving. Go to the ER if your child has any trouble breathing.
